Fortunato has had a long and illustrious career building educational facilities. The company is responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars worth of school projects throughout the Northeastern United States. These projects include elementary, secondary and high schools, university buildings, libraries, laboratories, science facilities and more.

Mount Sinai High School and High School Library
These buildings show Fortunato’s experience constructing total learning environments. This high school and accompanying library have an open air architecture that enables students and teachers to work in comfortable surroundings.

Hempstead High School
This school was designed to coexist harmoniously with its environment. Hempstead High School is situated in a densely populated, borderline urban/suburban neighborhood, so the emphasis is on maximization of space."

Pennsylvania State University Graduate School Center
At the time of construction, Penn State’s Graduate School Center was the most prominent building on campus. It houses the Graduate School’s administrative offices.

Earth & Space Sciences Laboratory at the State University at Stony Brook & Long Beach High School
Fortunato was honored for both of these projects with the Honor Award from the Long Island Association of Commerce & Industry.
