It takes both professional qualifications and a sense of social responsibility to successfully build projects aimed at addressing environmental issues. Fortunato has been building environmental protection and pollution control projects since the early 1950’s, thereby helping to ensure a healthy planet for future generations.

Cedar Creek Water Pollution Control Plant
This massive facility is representative of the numerous environmental projects built by Fortunato, a company responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in pollution control projects.

Albany Capital District Water Project
This underground water pumping station treats eighty-four million gallons of water every day for use at Albany’s South Mall.

Rockaway Pollution Control Plant
This huge sewage treatment facility is located adjacent to a hi-rise residential community between Jamaica Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Fortunato expanded this plant twice to increase capacity. Today it processes fifty million gallons of sewage every day.

Town of Babylon Incinerator
This plant was expanded by Fortunato to incinerate 250 tons of solid waste each day. The discharge is then water-screened into the air.
