A great deal of planning and forethought goes into exposition construction. Considerations must include accessibility, safety and longevity. Fortunato has been planning and building expositions for many years. They are very rewarding projects to work on because they are visited and enjoyed by families for generations.

Reptile House, The Bronx Zoo
Fortunato built this structure to incorporate a variety of sculptures simulating reptile’s natural habitat.

The New York World’s Fair
Fortunato was very much a part of building this world famous exposition in Flushing Meadow. Some of the structures Fortunato erected are (from top) the Unisphere, the Press and Communications Center and the Simmons Beauty-rest Exhibit. Fortunato also built the Malaysian Pavilion, the Scott Paper Building, the Monorail, the House of Good Taste, plus all the fountains and pools which are part of the permanent Flushing Meadow Park.
