The ability to move people to and from their homes and their places to and from their homes and their places of work is an issue that impacts the economic vitality of communities, the environment, and more. Fortunato has been involved in building transportation-related projects for years. Through this experience has come the understanding that transportation mush be considered not as a construction afterthought, but as an integral component of the communities in which buildings will exist. |

Fortunato received the American Concrete Institute’s seventh annual Excellence Award for the construction of this project. The firm was specifically sited for the innovated use of Portland cement concrete.

This facility is located in an active downtown business community. It provides parking for nearby offices and retail businesses and adds to the economic vitality of the area.

This parking facility, located at LaGuardia Airport, increases capacity and improves ease of movement at one of the Northeast’s primary air transportation hubs. Fortunato received the Building Award for Excellence by the Queens County Builders and Contractors Association.

With a great deal of attention being focused on alternative means of transportation, Fortunato was commissioned to build this futuristic monorail for the New York World’s Fair in Flushing Meadow, New York.
